We embrace the Jewish value of honoring every person made in the Divine image. We warmly welcome Jews and those in relationships with Jews who want to be a part of the Dor Chadash’s journey. We celebrate the diversity which everyone brings with them.
I am grateful for your interest in our community. More than that, I encourage you to meet the many wonderful people who are part of this unique and growing congregation; this is a place where you can feel you belong. We are thrilled to be one of the only congregations west of the highway that has seen a significant growth in families with young children and at the same time, welcome close to 100 older adults at our Shabbat dinner program once a month. Our religious school grows each year and our empty nesters gather for dinners and other programs. I have always been a part of this evolving synagogue since childhood into adulthood and now as your Rabbi. As I watch my 18-year chant Torah on the High Holidays and my two-year-old dance with his friends at Tot Shabbat, I know our strength and future is strong.
For some, Dor Chadash is a spiritual home. For others it is a place to see old friends and make new ones. Some come here to learn and embrace Jewish tradition. Others, enjoy how life’s simchas are celebrated and find powerful emotional support during times of struggle or loss. I am always available to you – and hope you will reach out and get to know our intimate synagogue family. We also look forward getting to know you. Whatever your need – spiritual, intellectual, pastoral – I am here for you.
May this be only the beginning of a lifelong relationship with us – and this new generation of Jewish life in South Dade.
Shalom,
